Raised in Walsenburg. Dad, George, Worked at newspaper. Did a story on Bob Ford and home there in 1958. Believe my grandfathers bar was in the old saloon of Bob Ford. (Pisarczyk) Also believe that same bar is now in Francisco Fort Museum in LaVeta, donated my my uncle, Joseph Pisarczyk. Would like to have more information about this. Thanks Ron.

Born in Walsenburg in 1949. Don't remember much seeings as I left around 1953 or 1954. Only remember a large school across the street from ww lived. Was wondering if it was still there.

Have been trying to find information about when the infamous Bob Ford had his saloon in Walsenburg. Can your county historical society or a local library supply those dates? I believe my great-grandfather sat in Ford's saloon in Walsenburg. Tahnks much!
